Chief Deputy Senate Republican Leader Henri Martin was reelected to serve his 5th term in November 2022 and is proud to continue representing Connecticut’s 31st Senatorial District which includes Bristol, Harwinton, Plainville, Plymouth and Thomaston.

Senator Martin serves as the Ranking Member on the Commerce and Finance, Revenue and Bonding Committees as well as the Transportation Committee and the Executive and Legislative Nominations Committee. Sen. Martin serves as a voting member on the State Bond Commission.

In 2019, Sen. Martin was named the Motor Transport Association of Connecticut State Senator of the Year in recognition of his strong support of the trucking industry and for his leadership in the fight against putting congestion-price tolls on Connecticut’s interstate highways.

In 2019, Sen. Martin was named a “Plainville Community Hero” by the Plainville Community Schools for his efforts on behalf of students, faculty and staff.

Cara Pavalock-D’Amato - State Rep. for the 77th. 860.240.8700

First elected in 2015, Cara Christine Pavalock-D’Amato is serving her fifth term as State Representative for the 77th district which covers part of Bristol. In 2023 Cara was appointed to serve on the Republican Minority leadership team as a Whip. She is the ranking member of the Insurance & Real Estate Committee, a position she has held since 2019. Cara also serves on the Judiciary Committee and the Finance, Revenue and Bonding Committee.

Cara was born and raised in Connecticut. She attended Immanuel Lutheran School and St. Paul Catholic High School in Bristol. 

Representative Pavalock-D’Amato obtained her bachelor’s degree from Providence College. She earned her law degree from St. Thomas University School of Law in Miami where she graduated Cum Laude and then received a masters of law degree (LL.M.) in Taxation from Georgetown University Law Center. Cara is a member of the Florida bar and the Connecticut bar. She now owns her own law firm, located in Bristol where she practices in the areas of bankruptcy, foreclosure and family law. 

As an active member of the community, Cara is a board member of the Tunxis Community College Foundation and was named Connecticut's Mother of the Year in 2020.

Cara is married to Anthony "Tony" D'Amato. They live in Bristol with their two dogs and son Leo. 

Joe Hoxha -State Rep. for the 78th 860.240.8700

Joe Hoxha was born in Albania and attended Bristol Central High School. He obtained a bachelor's degree in political science and sociology from the University of Connecticut. His professional background includes working with a local community bank.

Joe Hoxha, a member of the Republican Party, serves as a representative in the Connecticut House of Representatives. He began his term on January 4, 2023.
