Guest speaker, Chris Powell is a journalist in Connecticut, where he worked for the Journal Inquirer, a daily newspaper in Manchester, for 56 years, 44 of them as managing editor. He continues to write political columns for newspapers throughout the state and the Patch internet site in his hometown. He frequently appears on talk radio programs on several Connecticut stations.

Comedian, Linda Belt, a New Jersey native who moved to Connecticut in 1987, where she became a suburban pillar of the community attending PTO meetings and baseball games. She got tired of holding up those pillars and became a full-time stand-up comedian. Her humor touches on the absurdities of modern life and explores marriage, relationships, parenting and social mores, in other words: any subject she feels like discussing.
